Lamel Legno aims high. And it flies towards the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals. We have begun a path of environmental sustainability, which brings value to the planet and people, we embrace global initiatives that reflect our dedication to safeguarding the environment. A concrete example of our commitment is the reforestation project in Tanzania, where we are actively involved in planting 300 trees. This initiative not only helps offset CO2 emissions, but supports economic independence because it focuses on the direct involvement of Maasai women communities.
At Lamel Legno, we are convinced that every wood waste counts, recognizing the value of this natural resource and its potential second life. This approach underlines our commitment to sustainable and responsible practices, where every scrap of material is not seen as waste, but as an opportunity to innovate and create. The waste from wood processing is used partly to fuel the boiler and partly in the production of ecological pellets. This not only minimizes the environmental impact of our operations but also helps to promote a circular economy within the woodworking industry.
We recognize that the future of our planet and following generations depends on the choices we make every day. For this reason, we adopt a holistic approach to sustainability, which considers the entire life cycle of our products, from the selection of raw materials to production, where energy efficiency, renewable energy and waste reduction are priorities.
Respect for the environment has been a cornerstone of Lamel Legno’s activity for years, a true commitment to corporate responsibility that allows the company to proudly operate with a view to sustainability and protection of the territory.
Particular attention is paid to saving energy emissions into the atmosphere:
- It has been built a photovoltaic system that produces over 1 million KWh/year with a reduction in terms of emissions of approximately 700 tonnes of CO2 per year.
- The use of biomass coming from production waste that generates over 2 billion Kcal reused in the company’s production cycle and meaning a saving of over 250 thousand m3 of natural gas
The “Greeniumness®” project is based on a revolutionary concept: measuring the CO2 emissions (fig.2) generated by every interaction on digital platforms and transforming these emissions into “avoided emissions”, transferring the domain to a hosting powered by renewable energy (fig.1) and developing a new digital platform with a negative ecological footprint (fig.3-4). This approach, which we at Lamel Legno have fully embraced, challenges traditional communication practices, transforming every click, like or share (fig.5) into a potential positive action for the environment. This site is sustainable and inclusive accessiway, which means it also allows minorities with disabilities to access the digital revolution. Lamel Legno is also committed to implementing concrete actions to restore the ecological balance. One of the forms of compensation is reforestation (fig.6), which not only absorbs CO2 from the atmosphere, but restores and protects natural ecosystems, thus contributing to biodiversity and the well-being of the planet (fig.7).

Through pioneering innovations and responsible practices, we have achieved significant goals and transformed the wood industry. From carbon footprint reduction to sustainable forest management, from green digitalisation and inclusiveness, every aspect of our business has been redesigned to ensure minimal environmental impact.
